Sixty Bucks For An Eddie Murphy Movie? Not A Chance
-
Comcast has decided to cancel the in-home "Tower Heist" movie debut. That was the thing where they were going to test, in Portland and Atlanta, the idea of allowing people to order a new movie still in theaters for home on-demand viewing for $60, the idea being that you'd get a bunch of friends together and watch it. The reason it was canceled was that several movie theater chains told Comcast, which owns Universal, that they would not show the movie, period. That wasn't worth the test. (The Oregonian)
