An excerpt from the new Steve Jobs biography says that the reason he always wore those black mock turtlenecks was that he wanted it to become a uniform. He was taken with the way that Sony workers wore uniforms, and he thought that the mock turtleneck would catch on. It didn't. But it became his trademark. The whole idea of a company filled with people dressing like the CEO is more than a little creepy, but as great as he was, there was some measure of creepiness involved. (Toronto Star)
