They're Not The Underclass, But They Play One On TV

We talked about this yesterday, I think, but this article asks whether the celebrities for showing up at Occupy Wall Street are sincere or hypocrites. After all, when somebody who is undoubtedly in the 1%, with endorsement deals, expensive clothing, and mansions in several cities shows up and expresses solidarity with the poor and downtrodden, it does come across as insincere and shallow. But you have to wonder whether they even realize how contradictory they are in the first place. And it's interesting that the protesters welcome them as heroes even though they're really the enemy.
