Here's a good question: If it's legal in some cases to shoot a human intruder who breaks onto your property, why is this guy facing charges for shooting a bear that got into his yard? His attorney is trying to apply some, but not all, of a law allowing "non-deadly" force against an intruder to this case (he's claiming that because the victim wasn't human, the "deadly force" wasn't present; oookayyy). And the guy admits he didn't feel in danger, but instead feared that the bear would harm his chickens (!). But, still, should it be illegal to shoot a wild animal who comes onto your property?
