How About 'Save The Ta-Tas'? Is That Acceptable?
-
Oh, please: A high school in the Phoenix area has banned t-shirts created by the cheerleading squad that read "Feel Your Lumps, Save Your Bumps." It's obviously a breast cancer thing. The administration says it can't allow the kids to wear the shirts because they were "unauthorized." The kids say they didn't know they needed authorization. The principal called the slogan "questionable." Questionable how? Seriously? Why are people so freaked about even mentioning breasts using colloquial -- and not obscene -- terminology? Especially in fighting cancer? Why not let this one go? Oh, and, look, as if on cue, another school, this one in British Columbia, is banning "I (Heart) Boobies" bracelets, because the word "boobies," which is WHAT LITTLE KIDS CALL WOMEN'S BREASTS, is "offensive." Of course. (KPHO-TV/Phoenix; Vancouver Sun)
