Big In America Doesn't Mean Big Everywhere

Dan Wheldon's death was front-page news in America, but in his home country of England, it was a minor footnote. That's because Indy Car racing is practically unknown over there, and Formula 1 racing is the big sport. This must be how major league baseball players from other countries feel. If you're Australian and playing in the majors, it doesn't matter how good you are, because it's just not going to be a big deal back home. (New York Times)
