Was it really that big a deal that Apple missed analysts' targets for the 1st time in 5 years? That something that's always interesting about the stock market, the matter what company were talking about: analysts set up expectations, and the stock price goes up or down based on whether they hit those numbers, not whether the company actually performed well. Apple performed well, but there's plenty of reason that the numbers might not have been as big as analysts were hoping, like the fact that it had been a year and a half since the previous version of the iPhone. It's not like Apple is any less strong of a company today than it was yesterday. (San Jose Mercury News)
