A CDC study shows that nearly one in 10 Americans take antidepressants, which is a 400% jump over the last few decades. This is either a very good thing, because a lot of people need them, or a very bad thing, because not everybody who's taking the stuff actually needs it. Evidence to the latter point might be that a large percentage of the people who say they take antidepressants haven't been to the doctor for at least a year. (New York Daily News)
