They Only Care If You're On Steroids. Tumors Aren't On Their Job Description
-
Now that we know that last week's trade between the Eagles and Lions was voided because Jerome Harrison has a brain tumor, the question now comes up: how come the Lions didn't diagnose the problem? The guy was having such severe headaches that he was wearing sunglasses, and at that stage, you would think that they would order up an MRI to see what was going on. Instead, they stalled, then traded him. There's something to be said about not doing unnecessary tests, but it seems to me that his symptoms were severe enough that they needed to find out what was wrong, whether it was my grains or something more serious. It's unfortunate that it turned out more serious, and it's really unfortunate that he wouldn't have known that he had the tumor at that point unless he had gotten traded and had to go for the mandatory physical.
