Let The Words 'There's Nothing On' Never Pass Your Lips Again

YouTube and Google (Google owns YouTube) did about 100 deals to create programming networks on YouTube. A long list of program creators have been signed to deals to create their own channels. (Full disclosure: Nerdist Industries, of which I am a part, was one of the parties to get deals, so I have a horse in this race) in any event, this move is clearly a shot at the bow of cable and network television. And we know that younger people watch a lot of online video, with the distinction between network and cable and online becoming closer and closer to nonexistence. So, are you more likely to watch online video if familiar names and higher production values become the norm? (Los Angeles Times)
