In Mrs. Butterworth's Defense, She Never Says She's Real Maple
-
A bill making its way through the state legislatures in Vermont, Maine, and New York would make it a felony to sell fake maple syrup as the real thing. I would normally laugh at something like this, figuring that people couldn't tell the difference anyway, but you really can. Once you taste real maple syrup, the sugar goop that they sell as pancake syrup in supermarkets just tastes fake. (NECN; Thanks to Jeff Katz at WXKS (Talk 1200)/Boston for the link)
