There Are Other Ways To Teach Collaboration, But None Taste As Good
-
A college psychology professor walked out of his class because his students didn't bring any snacks. He's serious. He says that he requires students to bring snacks for everybody as part of his method of teaching, encouraging the students to work collectively and breaking down the formality and rigidity of the class. He says he's been doing this for 39 years. Surely, there are other ways to teach collaboration besides bringing food, and if it were really for educational purposes, would he specify the kind of snacks he wants? (Sacramento Bee)
