Frozen-Hard Rubber Flying At 90 mph... Yeah, That Can Do Some Damage
-
A 16-year-old hockey player in Edmonton is dead after getting hit by a puck in the neck. That's one of the few places on a hockey player's body that isn't protected in some way. He wore one of those big face cages hanging from his helmet, too, so there wasn't a lot of room for a puck to do damage, but it did. It's a reminder that no matter how much protection you have players wear, you can't eliminate danger 100%. (Edmonton Journal)
