If dentists are indeed needing to resort to heavy marketing to battle a sharp decline in customers, perhaps they should look at other things, like, say, that it seems like none of them take whatever dental insurance you have, or they charge way too much, or they seem to want to upsell you to oral surgery and whatever electric toothbrush they "recommend" every time you go. I can't stand going to the dentist and having them push some SoniCare product. (Los Angeles Times)
