China Has Human Rights Issues -- Try To Boycott THAT
-
This is the kind of story you expect from Portland or Berkeley or someplace like that, and I suppose that Park Slope, Brooklyn is another place that fits the image; that's where a food co-op (ding!) is holding a vote (ding!) on whether to hold a referendum (ding!) on whether to ban Israeli products (ding!) because, you know, Jews. No, it's because of the usual anti-Israel stuff, and the idea that what a grocery in Brooklyn does will have an effect on a political situation that has existed since even before Israel's present-day existence began and will most certainly outlive us all. It's enough to drive a Park Slope Prius driver to shop at Fairway or Pathmark or -- gasp! -- that Walmart they want to build nearby. (New York Daily News)
