Can't Sully The Classic Marlboro Pack
-
A court has ruled that the feds can't require those huge graphic warnings on cigarette packs, because it's a First Amendment violation and it's weird to allow the government to impose a "don't buy this!" message on a legal substance. This isn't over by a long shot, and you could also ask the question of whether the government can require full disclosure of a product's dangers. Since it can, aren't these messages really part of that? (Washington Post)
