A Government Program Fails To Help Its Intended Beneficiaries. (Yawn) Shocking
-
So, they took some of the TARP leftover funds and created something called the "Hardest Hit Fund," a program to help those who became unemployed and couldn't pay their mortgages, in order to save homes from foreclosure. How's that been going? They haven't helped many people. Practically none of it has gone to help people in that situation. Why? They really can't say. Not enough publicity, maybe? A slow bureaucracy? The states just not telling eligible people that the program's available? Who's to blame? (Los Angeles Times)
