Obviously, The Economy's All Fixed In Kansas
-
A committee in the Kansas House rejected a bill that would have made the cairn terrier -- that's Toto in "The Wizard of Oz," in case you need to know the connection to Kansas -- the official state dog. PETA opposed that because it's worried that it would lead to puppy mills cranking out the pups to keep up with demand. I think it's stupid because... that's what some state legislator thinks is important enough to waste everyone's time with? Seriously, that should be last on the list. You get to talk about state dogs when everything else -- and I mean EVERYTHING -- is fixed. (Wichita Eagle)
