The Fizz Of Death
-
Lately, there's been an all-out war on soda, based on the assumption that sugary sodas lead to a higher risk of heart disease and obesity. The American Heart Association is doing "Re-think Your Drink" events, and you know about the moves to get rid of sodas in schools. Are sodas the real villain? How come they were benign for a century and only now are people calling them the Devil incarnate? Is it the soda itself or the increased portions -- are 20 oz. bottles and Big Gulps and unlimited refills more to blame? (KSWB-TV/San Diego)
