Nowhere To Go
-
This guy lived in Laguna Beach for years, but fell on hard times and is now homeless. So he sleeps in his car. And they cite him for violating an ordinance against overnight sleeping in public. And he's suing for the right to sleep in public. He says it's criminalizing a basic human need, and the shelter is overcrowded and filled with people with mental issues and addiction. But there's also this: If someone was sleeping in his car outside YOUR house, how would you feel about that? What can a town do about this? (Orange County Register)
