Another local video store, this one in New York, is biting the dust, and the story's been done before. We know, video stores are dead. But it occurred to me the other day that we rarely rent movies even at the Redbox anymore. There are too many other options, from on demand to streaming. And we COULD buy a Blu-ray player, but I can't think of a reason to do so, even with players comfortably under a hundred bucks. It's not just video stores going away, it's physical-media video, too.
