Or Just Complain About It On Yelp
-
Okay, this is a first: A bunch of people went to a restaurant. The service sucked. The bill had an automatic 17% tip. The patrons asked to speak to the manager, but the manager said too bad, it's our policy. And then, the patrons say, the restaurant locked them inside and called the police, saying they couldn't leave until they paid the tip. Here's the thing: They knew about the tip thing before they ordered. What they SHOULD have done is to pay by credit card, then call the issuer and contest that item on the bill. Problem solved. And leave the police out of it. (KPRC-TV/Houston; Thanks to Pat Campbell at KFAQ-A/Tulsa for the link)
