Oh, Wait, I Can't Pray Today, It's Not The Official Day Of Prayer
-
An appeals court rules that the Day of Prayer ordained by Colorado under the last two governors is unconstitutional as an impermissible endorsement or preference of religion. Okay, y'all can debate that. What I want to know is... why does a state, or, indeed, the nation, through the Congressionally-endorsed Day of Prayer, need to declare a "day of prayer" in the first place? You want to pray? Go right ahead, that's what the country is here for, freedom of religion. But what's this "day" about? Isn't every day a day of prayer if you want it to be? Isn't that how it should be, with no government interference either way? (Fox News)
