For The Last Time, There's NO HYPHEN

This columnist uses the fact that New Jersey's driver's license system is incapable of accepting three names to hint that it somehow makes voter ID laws wrong, but that's not quite a logical conclusion. What IS a logical conclusion is that the license system is ridiculous for not being able to show three names (or, for that matter, first names longer than nine characters). Who didn't think it was important to be able to show middle names, or maiden names, or long names? I use three names out of necessity, and the full names manage to show properly on all of my IDs. If I still lived in New Jersey, they wouldn't. That's inexcusable. They're fixing it, but not fast enough. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
