How About Spelling Bees? No Equipment Necessary

This article's from New Zealand, but it applies to the U.S. and Canada and the U.K. and most other places as well: It's about parents who can't afford their kids' athletic pursuits, because the cost of equipment is too high. Maybe that's why soccer's so popular in school: All you need is a shirt, shorts, and shoes. Hockey is particularly ridiculous. Golf clubs aren't cheap. Many sports require a large investment of money and time. Are you willing to do that for your kids? (TVNZ)
