Eat Less, Exercise More. That's All The Diet News You Need
-
Diet News: The American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association have evaluated artificial sweeteners and their relation to losing weight and have determined... nothing. They do help cut carbs, but the study was inconclusive about long-term dietary effects. Well, thanks, guys, that REALLY helps. Meanwhile, a study from Zurich says that if you want to eat less, cut your food into smaller pieces. They observed that people ate less if the food was in smaller pieces, like, say, a bagel cut into chunks rather than presented whole. And there might be something to that: You'll eat the whole thing because you don't want to waste it, but if you can just take a small piece, you'll just eat that and you won't keep coming back for more, lest you appear to be a pig.
