Who Died And Made You The Pee Police?
-
Okay, let's explain one term in this story: a "lay-by" is a little turnout in a road in England where you can pull over, a sort-of rest stop. Now that you know that, enjoy, please, this story of an elderly couple who went to court in England complaining that people were peeing in their yard by the lay-by. They were insisting that hundreds of people were pulling over and peeing, and set up surveillance cameras to catch over 500 people in the act. And they spent ten years trying to get the highway authority to shut the lay-by down and built up a six-figure legal bull in the process. The court said that the peeing and the lay-by were sufficiently away from their house to make the situation not a real nuisance and not really their concern, and suggested that they were obsessed with the peeing. Now, they have a huge legal bill. And pee. FUN FACT: Their name is Pusey. John and Cherry Pusey. The 10-year-old in you is laughing hysterically. (Daily Telegraph)
