Take Some Penicillin And Get Back Out There
-
A study of top athletes traveling long distances to compete says that the travel -- flying across five or more time zones -- isn't what makes the athletes ill, even though elite athletes traveling that far are indeed two to three times more likely to get sick than those who aren't flying that far. The study says that it's more likely to be the result of going to someplace with different bacteria, different food, different environment and air and other factors. I can't imagine, though, that being on a plane for that long doesn't contribute. It takes a lot out of you. (CBC)
