Maybe You Shouldn't Take Those Photos After All
-
Folks, it's simple: Anything you post ANYWHERE on the Net, even in private accounts, can ultimately show up in public. That's the hard lesson being learned by women who have put naked pictures of themselves on Photobucket and have been shocked to discover that they're being hacked, then posted on Reddit. It's called "fusking" (with an S, so be careful), and it's fairly easy because Photobucket assigns simple file names to uploaded images, and individual URLS based on those names; anyone can guess at the URLs that way and uncover pictures not intended for public consumption. Bottom line: ANY posting of pictures, even under password protection, can lead to them becoming public. Assume that and you won't be shocked. (New York Daily News)
