This financial planner says you own too much stuff, and using the example of another guy who pared down, says you should just get rid of everything you don't need, and that means 90% of what you have. Clothes you rarely if ever wear? Out. Books you've read or which you'll never get around to reading? Out. In fact, he suggests you not sell it, just donate it and write the donations off, because the time and expense of selling the stuff isn't worth what you'd make. Could you do that? Or are you too much of a packrat? (New York Times)
