The Melky Cabrera case accelerates into You've-Got-To-Be-Kidding-Me mode as the New York Daily News reports that the suspended San Francisco Giants star tried to avoid getting caught by creating a fake website to provide plausible deniability that he knew what he was taking was banned. The trail allegedly leads to an "associate" of (not an employee of) his agents, who deny everything. But if this is true, that "manning up" apology REALLY rings hollow. (New York Daily News)
