A study of studies -- that's how some researchers get their grant money, poring over other people's work -- says that low-carb diets work. Good to know, but I still think that you'll gain it all back because you'll go back to carbs at some point and do it with a vengeance. You want a good way to lose weight? Keep track of what you eat and put a ceiling on your calories. Eat what you like, but eat less of it. A lot less. And exercise. That's a lifestyle change, but you won't feel so deprived that you'll crash off the wagon. (USA Today)
