We'll Take Your License -- That Oughta Stop You
-
A man accused in the hit-and-run death of a 4-year-old boy had his license revoked in 1993. He hasn't had a license since. He's gotten 6 DUI convictions in the intervening years. And, somehow, the system did nothing to take him off the road. Revoking a license isn't enough. Repeat DUIs and driving without a license should get you thrown in jail for a long time, but that never seems to happen, and that's why a child is dead. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
