And Right Now, Nobody's Going There, Because They Lost. Bwa-HA-Ha-Ha-Ha!

The company that operates the parking lots around Yankee Stadium has defaulted on almost $240 MILLION worth of loans because it turns out that nobody's driving to games. And maybe because they charge insane prices -- $45 to $58 for a single game? Are they kidding? THAT'S why people are taking the subway. Even the Yankees know that, but their suggestions have been ignored by the parking lot operator. And guess who gets stuck if the loans aren't paid? City taxpayers gave the company $200 million in subsidies, used to buy up parkland to convert to parking lots. Man, this worked out well all around, didn't it? (New York Times)
