Oh, THAT Torture Killing. Well, That Was A Long Time Ago....
-
When you hear about a teacher's aide in Iowa suspended because they finally found out that she'd been part of a family that tortured and killed a girl in 1965, you wonder how many people actually get away with their crimes. This woman got life in prison in 1966, but got released when the Indiana Supreme Court ruled she should have bene tried separately from her family; she pleaded out to voluntary manslaughter and was convicted, escaped, was caught, and released in a year. Read the description of what she and her family did -- it's graphic and disgusting -- and ask yourself how she was able to get a job in schools. Did they do NO background checking? Could your kids' schools be as lax? (NBC News)
