You're Not From Around Here, Are You?

Well, look at this: right here roughly a couple of miles from where I'm writing this, another panga boat washed ashore with three guys and lots of "suspicious packages." We're about 100 miles up the coast from the Mexican border, and we've been getting frequent visits from folks from Mexico bringing drugs and immigrants via the water route. It's a long way to go to avoid the border patrol, and they seem to get caught more often than not. By the way, to show how well the local TV news operations know my area, Malaga Cove is NOT in Rancho Palos Verdes (it's in Palos Verdes Estates, the next town over), and there is no such thing as the "Rancho Palos Verdes Estates Police Department." And I'm pretty sure that if the boat was headed north, it would not have made a "sharp left" into the cove, which would be to the right if you're going in that direction. Other than that, it's accurate. (KNBC-TV/Los Angeles)
