The neighbors objected when this woman arranged the Christmas lights on her roof to show a hand flipping the bird, and the cops told her it was obscene and had to come down. But isn't that a First Amendment violation? She intended to send a message to the neighbors, and that's the essence of free speech. She didn't use an obscene word, and the bird is so common -- kids use it -- that you could argue that it lost its sexual connotation decades ago. (It's no Shocker, that's for sure) I think it's hilarious, myself, but then again it's not in my neighborhood or directed at me.
