The New York Times' Nick Bilton wrote this piece on how his smartphone has replaced his wallet -- he uses just one debit card and the phone can substitute for payments for a lot more places, he has photos of his insurance cards and gym IDs and other stuff, he uses the iPhone Passbook for boarding passes and movie tickets, etc. Other than his debit card and driver's license, which he keeps in a money clip, he doesn't have anything else. How close are you to ditching the wallet? What happens when the battery runs out? (New York Times)
