Aah, You'll Work It Off Tomorrow
-
Tuesday is a major day in Detroit (and some other cities with large Polish enclaves), where it's Paczki Day. Those are Polish fried baked things with jelly in them, they're awesome, and they're... fattening. VERY fattening. One Paczek is about 700 calories. Ones cooked in lard are even more packed with fat and calories. The question that's universal is this: When it's a special occasion, do you care about calories and health? That'll come up for Valentine's Day, too, when you'll eat candy without regard for it being bad for you. (Oh, yeah, pronounce that POTCH-kee) (WXYZ-TV/Detroit)
