Do They Even Remember They Own Those Places?

Need more Class Warfare fodder? Here: The most expensive condo buildings in Manhattan are generally empty, but not vacant: Rich people from the suburbs buy the apartments and seldom use them. Why? Because they can. Pieds-a-terre are common in major cities worldwide, and the rich folks who own them with the general intention of using them for a night in the city on a regular basis really just leave them idle most of the time. We're talking several million dollars tied up in a condo they never use. Must be nice to be that rich. (New York Times)
