Ace Rothstein Is Not Pleased
-
The house always wins, unless it screws up royally, which is how a casino in Ohio found itself getting hammered by poker players over a rule goof, the news of which spread like wildfire. The trouble was a little arcane, involving the requirement of playing an initial ante and a "super bonus" bet that are supposed to be equal to each other but somehow ended up not, allowing players not to even bet the "super bonus," which is a bet that favors the dealer. The casino won't say how much it lost, but someone probably had to pay for this. (Columbus Dispatch; Thanks to Ken Stevens at WTVN/Columbus for the link)
