Hey, cities being extorted for new stadiums by NFL teams using L.A. as a threat: Says here that the NFL thinks that the highly touted downtown L.A. football stadium, Farmers Field, is dead, a victim of the numbers not working. The finances -- $1.8 billion to build -- don't pencil out. So no football in L.A.. still. As an L.A. County resident, I'm fine with that. More football on TV, and I'm not switching allegiances from the Eagles to whoever moves here. (Yahoo! Sports)
