It's always interesting to see how other countries see us, like in this BBC article wondering, in light of the campaign to rename a mountain after Ronald Reagan, why we name mountains after Presidents. Well, first, not all mountains are named after Presidents. Second, um, we have mountains and the U.K. doesn't, so we have more to name. Third, naming something tall and majestic is an honor, and we reserve that for politicians, who... um... say, why DO we do that? (BBC)
