A study in Denmark shows that women who got false positives on their mammograms got similar symptoms of anxiety and depression as women who actually got breast cancer, and those symptoms lingered for years. And that's bad, but should that lead to the conciusion that mammograms aren't necessary? What's worse, a false positive or not detecting cancer early? (ABC News)
