Little Hell On The Prairie
-
Morris, Manitoba, a rural town between Winnipeg and the U.S. border, is, apparently, a little behind the times, which explains why the locals ran a gay couple out of town, staying away from their restaurant because, in the words of a competitor, "you don't know what they're doing in the kitchen." Another guy said, "They should get the hell out of here, I don't really like them, the service and who they are." In fairness, most people in town have been welcoming, but enough of a minority have been verbally abusive or stopped coming because the owners are gay that it made things difficult. This does not reflect well on that community. (Canadian Press via Vancouver Sun)
