The Students Probably Never Noticed It Was There

Yeah, I know some of you will be upset that the threat of an ACLU suit led to the removal of a Jesus portrait from a public school building, and I might be with you if, say, it was a religion class and there were portraits of various religious figures. But what need was there to hang a portrait of Jesus over a doorway near a "Hall of Honor" with local luminaries' pictures? I don't care that it was hanging in various schools there since 1947, having a portrait of a religious figure there is, really, an endorsement of that religion. (If it isn't, why would you bother to hang the picture? To cover a crack in the walll?) And it's not necessary, because school isn't a church. Okay, now you hate me, I can tell. (AP via Fox News)
