Your Chumbawumba Moment
-
I was over at Nerdist when the Marathon bombing news broke, and we watched the early video and we were all wondering about the guy in red you see go down in a heap in the road when the blast hit. Was he hit by something? Was he blown down by the concussion of the blast? Or was he old and wobbly even before the blast? After staring at it for a while, I thought the latter. And now comes woed that he was a 78-year-old runner who got knocked down by the blast. And it's among the very limited happy news that we learn he walked away unhurt other than a knee scrape. And, with help, he walked the last 12 feet to officially finish, because he wasn't going to let a bomb or two stop him. Good for him. (Everett Herald)
