Don't Humour Them
-
Students at Johnson University -- anyone know where that is? -- are campaigning to change the spelling of "forty" to "fourty," which started as a joke but is now a thing, fueled by social media. They see it as a challenge to get dictionaries to add the "u." The reasoning: Every other variation of "four," like "fourteen," has the u. Why not forty? Well, because it's always been that way and it's easier to keep it as it is, but it's an interesting challenge.
