If Nobody Was Willing To Pay Scalpers' Prices, They Wouldn't Do It
-
You go to buy concert tickets online and you have to enter a Captcha and fill out forms and it takes time. Scalpers are using bots to siphon off tickets before anyone else can get in there. Ticketmaster et al. try to fight back with tougher Captchas, and it doesn't stop them. Some might say that the problem is all the tickets held back for industry types and friends of the band, label, promoter, etc. But the deck is stacked against you, they say. Funny, I haven't had a problem getting floor seats for arena shows for a while, even just going onto Ticketmaster at the appointed time and buying 'em the regular, non-StubHub way, but, then, I don't go to many.
