The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development does a survey called the Better Life Index to determine which are the "happiest places on Earth," nation-wise. (Disney doesn't count) Surprise: the U.S. ranks 6th out of 36. We're happier than you thought, but it's mostly because we have more money. If you weigh "life satisfaction" more heavily, we drop tpo 12th. Scandinavian countryes and Switzerland rank above us.Turkey and Mexico are at the bottom across the board, and eastern Europe is down there, too. But you can be happy or sad anywhere, right?
